- Why did you choose North East Florida?
- Would we recommend moving to Florida?
- Where are the best school districts?
- How is the cost of homes in your area?
If you are thinking of moving to Florida we hope this short post helps you, and if it doesn't, feel free to email us and ask away. We are as honest as they come with relocation to a different country or state and always try to provide helpful guidance. We have moved to different countries and states, so we get it!
Before we jump into the pros and cons of moving and living in Florida, we just want to mention that we both grew-up coming to Florida since we were three years old, so we've experienced a fair bit throughout the state. Florida has always felt like a third home to us, even when we weren't living here full time; we have always felt comfort in this state. However, we tell anyone thinking of moving to a different state or country to always make sure your reasonings are purposeful and do your research! The grass is always greener. ;-)

Why you may not want to move to Florida
CONS:
1. While almost everyone loves living in Florida for a few years, typically a large percentage of people leave Florida and move to another state after 10 to 20 years of living in the state.
2. Water at a handful of beaches in Southern Florida and the Gulf Coast have issues with high bacteria, which often leads to beaches being closed. An environmental issue that isn't being handled the way it should.
3. Reclaimed water for your sprinkler system can be more expensive than the water that comes from your tap. This differs depending on where you live in the state.
4. There are no annual car inspections for safety violations in Florida.
5. Florida is flat. So if you want to enjoy daily hikes with an incline, this is not the state for you.
